Blue Water Cafe – High-End Seafood
I’ll be honest, Blue Water Cafe is a splurge. Nonetheless, this is a must-eat restaurant while you’re in Yaletown. In fact, many consider this one of the best restaurants in Vancouver, let alone Yaletown. To get the best offering, I recommend to order one of the seafood towers; this way you can try a liiittle bit of everything.
Pro tip for the ladies: grab a seat at the bar during happy hour to get some men-in-suits eye candy (and maybe a phone number).
per se Social Corner – Ideal First Date Spot
per se Social Corner is another fun restaurant serving up delicious Italian staples like wood-fire pizza and hefty pastas. I recommend either sitting on their cute patio (where you get some great people-watching) or at the bar, which is over-the-top in the best way. My favorite ‘za is the Criminale. This is a great first date spot; I would know because I’ve been on about 5 here. All wonderful dates, so thank you, good men.

Robba da Matti – Italian Trattoria Vibes
Nustled between other bustling restaurants, you might almost miss the unassuming Robba da Matti. However, this is exactly why I love this place. There’s actually only enough room for a few seats inside otherwise there are tables huddled together on the heated patio all year round. I’m convinced this is the best carbonara in the city and do yourself a favor and order the tiramisu. (Calories don’t count here). To be honest, this is actually my personal #1 best restaurant in Yaletown.
Minami – Melt in Your Mouth Japanese Dishes
Minami is always packed, so be sure to make a reservation. The aburi here is outstanding; it literally melts in your mouth as you chew. Best I’ve ever had! The Champagne Roll is also quite special. Be sure to also check out their impressive sake list.
Provence Marinaside – Food with a View
Provence Marinaside is the best restaurant in Yaletown if you want a magnificent view of the seawall. This is a great spot for brunch with girlfriends or a quaint night out with your significant other as the sun sets. On Wednesdays there is also live jazz, which is always a mood-booster!
Nero Waffles – Waffles Are Not Just for Breakfast
Nero Waffles puts such a clever spin on their menu. Whether you’re looking for sweet or savory, they provide! The Yaletown location has a cute patio and this restaurant is always packed! You can also walk-up and order mini liège waffles (sold until sold out) that come in incredible flavor varieties ranging from matcha to apricot to vanilla custard. WAHOO for waffles!
La Terrazza – Big Portion Pastas
I avoided La Terrazza for a while because it has a slightly awkward corner location a block away from all the other Yaletown restaurants. As you can imagine, I was very pleasantly surprised when I finally made it here! The pasta portions are massive – you’ll likely be taking extras home (and I’ve never complained about extra food in my life). The bonus is that you’re close to the seawall for a post-food coma stroll.
Banter Room – Party on the Patio
Get ready to party if you come to Banter Room past 8pm – it gets lively in here! If you’re not into the late-night cocktail and DJ scene, head here earlier and grab a seat on the gorgeous patio. It is very Instagram worthy. While I will say there are better restaurants in Yaletown for purely the food, Banter Room provides a strong aesthetic and atmosphere. Before you leave, be sure to check-out the champagne vending machine. #boujie
Elisa – Steaks on Steaks
Elisa is a steak showstopper. The interior is beautiful – check out the exposed wine as you make your way to the washrooms. Even sitting at the bar there is clearly a posh vibe. I highly recommend coming for the steak, but order a few sides to share as well (I personally like their broccolini and mac & cheese). Oh, and don’t forget the wine list here is immaculate. Dress to impress.
The Flying Pig – Amazing Happy Hour
The Flying Pig is definitely one of the best restaurants in Yaletown. In fact, it is so popular that there are now two other locations in Vancouver. However, my personal favorite location is the Yaletown one. There is an incredible Happy Hour deal here, but the menu expands into some delicious entree options for lunch or dinner.
Now, get booking those reservations! I hope this list of the top 10 best restaurants in Yaletown helps determine some future dining experiences. Let me know if there are any of your favorites that I missed!
