The other week I got to visit the @termedisaturnia The other week I got to visit the @termedisaturnia - a wellness resort in Tuscany centered around the thermal pools. The water itself is very special and loaded with health benefits (sulfur, calcium, magnesium). In fact, I felt like I had worked out after a full day here! And I mean that in a good way!

These thermal springs and baths have been in use since the days of the etruscans and Romans - now they are just a bit more glamorous if you come here. 😅

While you’re on a trip to Tuscany don’t skip a day trip to Saturnia. It makes the perfect relaxation pitstop between some wine tasting!

Ciao! I’m an American living in Milan, Italy for t Ciao! I’m an American living in Milan, Italy for the last 3 years. While I’ve been lucky and satisfied with how my life in Italy is going, there are a few things I would do differently if I could turn back the clock.

1. The dreaded PATENTE. I truly underestimated the time required for studying. The real motivation was when I had my crazy commute (real ones know my monopattino struggle lol). After a few failed attempts 😓 I finally passed! But wow, I wish I started studying while I had more time on my student visa.

2. When I first arrived in Milan I was going to an Italian language school. It was exciting - I was meeting people from all over the world! Then came the hard hitting reality of how transient most of these people were…some only staying for weeks at a time. So, while these were fun people to meet, I wish I also invested time in connecting with people already here with jobs, stronger roots, etc. Once I finished language school I realized I had almost no friends here 😅

3. I love writing and it’s always been an outlet for me. I was SO GOOD at documenting my initial weeks here and all of the thoughts and emotions involved. Then when times got tough i stopped 🙄 And honestly I wish I had those journals to look back on because I could have seen the steady trend of resilience and shift to relief and happiness once everything started falling into place!

Last week I attended a gorgeous wedding at Villa A Last week I attended a gorgeous wedding at Villa Angelina along the Sorrento Coast. And if you ask me the best part about a wedding in Italy? The FOOD. It’s endless.

This wedding was held at the beautiful @villaangelinaofficial - which viewpoints overlooking the coastline and even Capri! It was an ideal and romantic setting dancing and eating while the sun set.

One of my favorite details was the incredible New Orleans jazz band they had playing throughout the night - @drjazzdirtybucks. I was obsessed and these guys were incredible!! Honestly I spent the night feeling like I was in La Dolce Vita and the other half transported to the French Quarter. A unique mix that worked impeccably. 🎶
